Yaffle

The yaffle is also called the European Green Woodpecker. Where does the name "yaffle" come from? Well, the sound it makes is sometimes called "yaffing," because it is sort of like yapping and sort of like laughing! It looks for ants to eat on the ground instead of pecking on trees. It looks like it is wearing a little red hat.
